Production of polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs) from industrial wastes by microorganisms
Polyhydroxyalkanoates are linear polyesters produced in nature by bacteria and other microorganisms under stress as an energy and carbon reserve. Among the advantages, we found this type of bioplastics is 100% biodegradable in various habitats such as soil, sea, or stagnant water, both in aerobic and anaerobic conditions.
Biotechnological solutions for degradation and recycling of plastics: enzymatic recycling, biodegradation & biotransformation of plastic residues by microorganisms
Application of enzymes for degradation of thermoplastics and research on biodegradation and biotransformation of plastics wastes by microorganisms aimed to obtain high-added value products to be used in the industry.
Bioremediation of nitrates, phosphates, nitrites, heavy metals from marine and brackish waters
Our services are based on the intervention of microorganisms in bioremediation processes of contaminated water and soil, mining waste, sewage sludge, and material from dredging ports.
