CETEC works on the improvement of the properties of plastic materials (including bioplastics) to obtain high-performance materials while being safe and sustainable aligned with European strategies and policies.
CETEC's Advanced Materials Research Lines
- Formulation of plastic and bioplastics materials with active additives as antimicrobials, and antioxidants.
- Formulation and compounding of biobased plastics to enhance their processability and stability.
- Formulation and compounding to develop high-barrier materials for packaging applications.
- Formulation and compounding to develop anti-fouling materials with optimal light diffusion, UV-stability, reflection for agricultural applications.
